MARIA NAHAPETOVA, the daughter of Rodion Nahapetov and Vera Glagoleva, was born June 28th, 1980 in Moscow. From an early age, Maria showed talent in drawing, and was accepted to a prestigious art school in Moscow. Parallel to this, Maria was taking classes at the A.S. Pushkin Museum. After completing her studies, she was accepted to VGIK’s Art Department Studies. She then transferred to the Director’s Dept, of the same Institute.

From 2001 to 2003, Maria studied at GNOMON School of Visual Effects in Los Angeles – School of 3D Visual Effects for film and television, which enhanced her artistic abilities further.

As an artist, Maria’s special talent is in painting animals. Her passion for animals coupled with her creative abilities, have placed her among the top artists whose oil paintings of “man’s best friend” are displayed in many private collections both in Russia, the United States and Europe.

Maria has also acted in several films and is also involved in designing book covers and other artistic endeavors.

On September 19th, 2007, Maria and Eugene Dzura became the proud parents of a son – Kyril.
